Organizations and workspaces
- The organization controls the subscription, seats, shared credits, organization members, and team workspaces.
- A team workspace controls access to a specific set of folders and diagrams.
- Organization Owners and Admins can create team workspaces.
- Organization members only see team workspaces to which they have access.
Workspace roles
The last workspace Owner cannot be demoted or removed.
Organization roles
- Owner can manage organization members, roles, workspaces, seats, and billing.
- Admin can manage members and workspaces but cannot assign, demote, or remove an Owner.
- Member can use the team workspaces assigned to them.
Editing locks
Team diagrams use an editing lock to prevent conflicting saves.1
Open a team diagram
If no one else is editing, DiagramAI acquires the lock and enables editing.

Work while the lock is active
DiagramAI refreshes the lock while the editor remains active.

Handle a locked diagram
If another member holds the lock, the diagram opens read-only and the AI panel is disabled.

Take over when required
A workspace Owner or Admin can force a takeover. The previous editor can no longer save changes
after the takeover.
